Bangladesh fast bowler Ebadot Hossain has been declared out from the ODI Asia Cup between Pakistan and Sri Lanka due to a knee injury, according to BCB on Tuesday.

The right-arm fast bowler, 29, was injured during the ODI series with Afghanistan last month. The BCB stated that he had not recovered sufficiently to be eligible for the six-nation Asia Cup tournament, but hoped he would be ready for the forthcoming ODI World Cup.

Debashis Chowdhury, BCB’s chief physician, stated in a statement that Ebadot’s anterior cruciate ligament damage required further treatment. Taking into account the significance of the Bangladesh team’s next major event, the BCB is dedicated to pursuing every safest clinical option available to get Ebadot restored to full fitness.
