The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi agreed to process visas for three members of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), including the newly elected President, Roger Binni.

The delegation will travel to Pakistan, where four matches of this year’s tournament, including some of the best matches you’ll see as you Watch Asia Cup 2023 in USA, will be hosted.

Apart from Mr. Binni, the other officials who’ve already been issued visas for the 2023 Asia Cup are BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla and Executive Assistant Muhammad Akram.

The Indian Cricket Board had initially requested visas for its seven officials and is confident BCCI’s Secretary Jay Shah and other officials will also get the green light to visit Pakistan.

Mr Binni will be the first BCCI President to visit Pakistan in 18 years. The last Pakistan visit by a BCCI President was during the Asian Cricket Council camp in 2005.

The BCCI President is hopeful his visit will rejuvenate cricket relations between Pakistan and India.

Highlighting the significance of the cricket matches between the two archrivals, Binni clarified that cricket fans who watch Ind vs Pakistan 2023 in USA will get a better treat than they did with The Ashes.

India and Pakistan will meet in their Group A match on September 2. Both teams are favorites to advance to the next round at the expense of the newcomers, Nepal.

If it plays out that way, the teams will also play against each other in the Super Four round.
